Kayla Saravo

About

Hi, I'm Kayla.

UMiami student, founder, and someone who learns best by building.

My story

I study Entrepreneurship at the University of Miami with a minor in AI.

In August 2026 I founded Saltline Studios, a private charter Pilates brand in Miami. Building it from zero meant earning the trust of boat partners, pricing a product no one had sold before, and launching a brand people wanted to book before any marketing began. It also meant losing partners, canceling events, and rebuilding anyway. That’s where I learned the most.

Now I want to bring that founder energy to a startup product team.

Beyond the Business

First in my family

I'm a first-generation college student at UMiami on scholarships and financial aid. Nothing about this path was handed to me, and that's exactly why I chase it so hard.

Always planning the next trip

Travel is how I stay curious. Next spring I'm studying abroad in Cape Town from February to June, and I'm planning to fill every weekend with safaris and trips across South Africa.

Raised around a family business

I grew up helping with Uncle Tony's Reptiles, my brother's reptile education and entertainment company. Watching small business from the inside is where my entrepreneurial streak started.

Seven puppies later

I’ve raised dogs my whole life, and one of my proudest moments was delivering a litter of seven puppies and caring for every one of them until they found their homes. I later spent time working at a dog daycare. They taught me patience, consistency, and how to care for someone who can’t tell you what they need.

Trying the scary thing

I joined UMiami's rugby team for a semester with zero experience and no idea what I was doing. I learned the rules the hard way, took a lot of hits, and kept showing up.
